Ltd., Samsung Electronics America Inc., and Google LLC’s joint petition for a writ of mandamus after the then-acting PTO director denied inter partes review of patents owned by Cerence Operating Company. The court denied the parties’ due process and APA challenges to the director’s conclusion that IPR would be an inefficient use of resources given the progress of parallel district court proceedings involving Cerence’s assertion of the same patents.
