The Federal Circuit affirmed in part and reversed in part the decision of a federal district court in Florida dismissing mCom IP LLC’s action against City National Bank of Florida for infringement of a patent that claims a unified electronic banking system and a method of constructing a unified electronic banking environment. The appeals court affirmed the dismissal because mCom advanced no meritorious challenge to the invalidity ground for that dismissal, and reversed the attorneys’ fees and sanctions award.
