Challenged claims of Lionra Technologies Limited’s patent that discloses high speed packet processing in a wireless network are unpatentable as obvious over prior art, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board held, in an inter partes review by Cisco Systems Inc. The board determined that the challenged claims are obvious over various combinations of prior art, including prior art that relates to accelerated transport control protocol stack processing, that relates to a method and apparatus for transforming packets in a multi-protocol, multi-flow data stream, and that discloses a system and method for storing frame header data.
