Challenged claims of Pictiva Displays International Ltd.'s patent that states that one object of the invention is to provide organic light-emitting diodes which can be used particularly diversely are unpatentable as obvious over prior art, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board said, in an inter partes review by Samsung Display Co.
