The Patent Trial and Appeal Board said that challenged claims of Yangtze Memory Technologies Company’s patent that relates to three-dimensional memory devices are unpatentable as obvious over prior art, in an inter partes review by Micron Technology Inc. The board determined that the challenged claims are obvious over prior art directed to devices, to methods used in forming a circuit structure, and to methods used in forming an array of elevationally-extending transistors and a circuit structure adjacent thereto.
