The Patent Trial and Appeal Board said that some challenged claims of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson’s patent that describes an improved inductor design in voltage-controlled oscillators of the type used in radio frequency transceivers are unpatentable as obvious over prior art, in an inter partes review by Intel Corporation.
