The Federal Circuit affirmed decisions of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board that challenged claims of Manufacturing Resources International Inc.'s patents that describe and claim cooling systems for electronic displays are unpatentable as obvious over prior art, in inter partes reviews by Samsung Electronics Co. The court said that the board’s findings were supported by substantial evidence.
