The Federal Circuit ruled that a federal district court in Texas didn’t abuse its discretion by refusing to transfer Netlist Inc.'s action against SK hynix Inc. for infringement of memory module patents. SK hynix sought to transfer the case to federal district court in California, where two prior suits are pending. The court ruled that the district court didn’t abuse its discretion by denying SK hynix’s request because its American unit lacked the type of presence in central California that would have allowed Netlist to sue it there.
