The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of the District of Delaware granting judgment as a matter of law on the ground of anticipation, in C.R. Bard Inc. and Bard Peripheral Vascular Inc.'s action against AngioDynamics Inc. for infringement of patents that disclose assemblies for identifying a power injectable access port, infusion apparatuses and related methods, and methods of performing a power injection procedure. The appeals court said that the district court properly determined that the asserted claims were anticipated as a matter of law.
