Case: Patents/Infringement (D. Del.)

March 27, 2019, 1:00 PM UTC

VLSI Technology LLC, which brought a patent infringement claim against Intel Corp., plausibly alleged that Intel knew of several of its patents relating to computer chip technology, which Intel cited in its prosecutions of other patents. VLSI failed to allege any facts from which it can be plausibly inferred that Intel knew or should have known of the existence of an additional patent, or that it was willfully blind to that patent’s existence. VLSI’s allegations of willful infringement, enhanced damages, and induced and contributory liability are dismissed. The case is VLSI Tech. LLC v. Intel Corp., D. Del., 18-966-CFC, 3/26/19
