The Federal Circuit reversed in part, vacated in part, and remanded the decision of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board that challenged claims of Carl Zeiss X-Ray Microscopy Inc. patent that claims X-ray imaging systems that incorporate projection magnification weren’t anticipated by and obvious over prior art, in an inter partes review by Sigray Inc. The court reversed as to the lack of anticipation of three claims and remanded for the board to determine if three other claims would have been obvious in light of its opinion.
