The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board rejecting the independent claim of a patent application directed to computer software for effectuating bank transaction operations on a blockchain network as indefinite. The court determined that the specification’s disclosures regarding contract software don’t provide sufficient structure for the execution of settlement of contracts and transference of completion code.
