The Federal Circuit affirmed in part, reversed in part, and remanded the decision of the District of Massachusetts that Abiomed Inc. didn’t infringe any claim of Maquet Cardiovascular LLC’s patents that claim various intravascular blood pump systems and methods for providing heart support using intravascular blood pump systems. According to the appeals court, some of the district court’s claim construction was erroneous.
