The Federal Circuit reversed the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s determination that a claim of Nobots LLC’s patent that discloses systems, methods, and apparatus for evaluating the status of computing device users isn’t unpatentable as obvious over or anticipated by prior art, in an inter partes review by Google LLC. The court held that the board’s construction of the claim phrase “acquiring interest data” was erroneous.
