A federal district court in California construed disputed claim terms in Microsoft Corporation’s action against MediaPointe Inc. and AMHC Inc. seeking a declaratory judgment that it doesn’t infringe patents for a system and method for distribution of data packets utilizing an intelligent distribution network and that the patents are invalid. The court construed “optimal [delivery] router[s],” “best route,” “higher quality of service network link” and “less optimal network link,” “node that is selected as being best situated to relay the continuous stream of data,” “route,” “trace route,” and “relay/relaying.”
