Case: Patents/Attorneys’ Fees (Fed. Cir.)

The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of a federal district court in Tennessee awarding Castle Retail LLC attorneys’ fees in Hawk Technology Systems LLC’s action for infringement of a patent that relates to viewing multiple videos at the same time. The appeals court determined that the district court didn’t abuse its discretion in determining, under the totality of the circumstances, that the case was exceptional.
