The Federal Circuit vacated in part, affirmed in part, and remanded the decision of a federal district court in Texas denying Realtek Semiconductor Corp. attorneys’ fees, costs, and sanctions in Future Link Systems LLC’s action for infringement of patents that relate to integrated circuits and power-saving features. The appeals court said that the district court erred by denying fees and costs, because Realtek is a prevailing party, but not by denying sanctions.
