Case: Patents/Anticipation (P.T.A.B.)

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board said that challenged claims of Analog Devices Inc.'s patent that describes input circuitry for analog to digital converters that convert analog input signals to digital output signals are unpatentable as anticipated by prior art, in an inter partes review by Xilinx Inc. and Xilinx Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. The board said that the challenged claims were anticipated by a prior patent that describes sampling switches used for analog signal processing that are capable of reducing signal distortion caused by on-resistance. And the board denied Xilinx Inc.'s motion to exclude evidence.
