The Federal Circuit affirmed the decision of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board that claims of VideoLabs Collective IP LLC’s patent directed to synchronizing data segments consisting of audio and visual content are unpatentable as anticipated by and obvious over prior art, in an inter partes review by Unified Patents LLC. The court affirmed the board’s claim construction and its findings on the merits.
