Technicolor SA’s motion to dismiss, in a class action suit brought by the purchaser of a digital home theater projector and others similarly situated against Technicolor for false advertising, deceptive trade practices, and other claims, was granted by a federal district court in California. The court noted that Technicolor is a French corporation with its principal place of business in Paris, France, and that Technicolor is not licensed to conduct business in California and does not sell any goods or services in California.
