A federal district court in California denied Vade Secure SASU’s motion for partial summary judgment in Proofpoint Inc. and Cloudmark LLC’s copyright infringement and trade secrets misappropriation action. The court determined that Proofpoint and Cloudmark’s technical experts described in detail the five categories of technical trade secrets to which the instant challenge is made. And the court ruled that triable issues exist as to whether Vade Secure’s Content Filter and its current version of O365 use Proofpoint and Cloudmark’s trade secrets.
