A federal district court in Texas granted a photographer’s motion for summary judgment on her copyright infringement claim against JW Sanders PLLC. The court held that there was no dispute as to whether the photographer owned valid copyrights for the images in dispute, and that JW Sanders posted the images to its social media accounts without a valid license or permission. And the court granted the photographer summary judgment on her vicarious infringement claim, and dismissed JW Sanders’ affirmative fair use defense.
