Case: Copyrights/Summary Judgment (D.N.J.)

The District of New Jersey denied Ameritu Trading Inc. and Well Woven Inc.'s motion for summary judgment on Ottomanson Inc.'s action for infringement of copyrights for the designs for three Turkish rugs, and denied Ottomanson’s motion for partial summary judgment. The court denied the request to invalidate Ottomanson’s copyright registration by way of summary judgment, said that Ottomanson has standing, and denied summary judgment as to actual copying and substantial similarity.
