A federal district court in California granted Cintas Acuario Inc.’s motion for summary judgment on Jenni Rivera Enterprises LLC’s copyright infringement claim. The court found that while Cintas Acuario entered into a music licensing agreement with a third party to distribute JRE’s works, there was no evidence that it provided the licensee with any of JRE’s works outside of those it was authorized to distribute under the recording contract.
