Inc., Walt Disney Pictures, Marvel Studios LLC, MVL Film Finance LLC, Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, and Disney Studio Production Services Co. LLC’s motion to dismiss Rearden LLC and Rearden MOVA LLC’s action for vicarious and contributory copyright infringement relating to facial performance capture services and output works for two films. The court dismissed Rearden’s contributory infringement claim without leave to amend, and denied Disney’s motion to dismiss Rearden’s vicarious infringement claim.
