A federal district court in Hawaii dismissed Hunter Killer Productions Inc.'s copyright infringement action against AKA Wireless Inc. Hunter Killers claimed that AKA Wireless employees promoted piracy apps to Victra store customers and induced them to infringe upon movie copyright. The court dismissed Hunter Killer’s secondary copyright infringement claim and dismissed with leave to amend its intentional inducement and contributory copyright infringement claims.
