A federal district court in the District of Columbia adopted a U S. Magistrate Judge’s recommendation denying the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials Inc.'s motion to dismiss ICC Evaluation Services LLC’s copyright action. ICC alleged that IAPMO infringed its copyrights in publications and technical guidelines that assess whether building products comply with building codes and regulations by producing, distributing, and placing in the market products that are copies or derivatives of the copyrighted works without permission or a license.
