A federal district court in Delaware denied Broadcom Inc.'s motion to dismiss TexasLDPC Inc.'s copyright and patent infringement action. TexasLDPC claims to have an exclusive license to some patents owned by Texas A&M University and sued Broadcom for infringing three patents for decoder architecture. The court determined that TexasLDPC plausibly alleged that Broadcom’s products implement the patents and that it claimed to have an exclusive license to use some of Texas A&M’s copyrighted code, which Broadcom and subsidiaries have allegedly violated.
