The Eleventh Circuit reversed the decision of a federal district court in Florida concluding that a termination notice was valid based on a jury’s factual findings, denying Lil’ Joe Records Inc.'s motion for summary judgment, and denying Lil’ Joe’s motion for reconsideration, in 2 Live Crew’s action seeking to terminate grants of copyright in five albums. The appeals court held that a majority of 2 Live Crew didn’t exercise their termination interests.
