A federal district court in Illinois denied Target Corporation’s motion to issue a request to the Copyright Office to advise whether it would have refused registration if it knew certain information was inaccurate, in Ty Inc.'s action against Target and MGS Group Ltd. for copyright infringement of Ty’s plush toy poodle. According to the court, Target hasn’t shown that Ty’s application contained any inaccuracies.
