Case: Copyrights/Judicial Estoppel (11th Cir.)

Judicial estoppel bars Mimi Korman’s copyright infringement action against Julio Iglesias. She now claims that she alone wrote the song “Me Olvidé de Vivir” after her prior claims that she and Iglesias co-wrote it. Consideration of Korman’s earlier statements on the subject of the song’s authorship was within the discretion of the district court. The case is Korman v.
