Yuneec USA Inc.'s motion for attorneys’ fees and costs, following the grant of summary judgment in its favor in Sundance Media Grp. LLC’s action against Yuneec for copyright infringement, was granted in part by the federal district court in Nevada. In awarding attorneys’ fees, the court noted that (1) Sundance failed to timely produce evidence of an infringement and failed to show entitlement to damages as a result of Yuneec’s actions; (2) Sundance’s claims had numerous fatal defects; (3) Yuneec was forced to incur significant attorneys’ fees defending against Sundance’s unsupported claims; and (4) Sundance had many opportunities to resolve ...
