Carvin Wilson Software Sued Over Data Breach Affecting 187,000

Carvin Wilson Software LLC negligently failed to protect the personal information of more than 187,000 people that was exposed in a March data breach, according to a new proposed federal class action.

Carvin provides payroll, billing and accounting software to staffing companies across the US, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Arizona. Al Locke, Elijah Johnson, and Saeeda Johnson allege the company failed to properly monitor its systems and implement adequate data security practices, and failed to provide timely notice of the incident.
