A company armed with Eastman Kodak Co.-developed patents filed infringement allegations against German camera and imaging company Carl Zeiss AG.
Zeiss imaging-software products, including Zen Blue and Surgery Optimizer, infringe US Patent Nos. 7,062,085, 7,065,255, 7,742,145, 7,827,508, and 8,953,024, Monument Peak Ventures LLC said in a complaint filed Feb. 6 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The patents protect systems for digital imaging and editing.
Monument Peaks said Zeiss also encouraged its customers to infringe by providing technical support and promoting the products.
