Carhartt, Costa Del Mar Settle Trademark Dispute Over ‘C’ Logo

Apparel companies Carhartt Inc. and Costa Del Mar Inc. agreed to end a trademark dispute over the companies’ stylized “C” logos, according to a new court filing.

Judge Stephen J. Murphy said the parties informed the court they resolved their dispute and gave them until July 16 to submit documents dismissing the case, according to an order filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

The court was “most appreciative of the parties’ efforts to resolve the case,” Murphy said.

Neither party’s attorneys immediately responded to a request for comment on the order.
