Apparel brands Carhartt Inc. and Costa Del Mar Inc. were both denied early wins in a trademark lawsuit over their logos as a federal judge found there are factual disputes to be resolved.
Judge Stephen J. Murphy III denied Carhartt’s bid for summary judgment on its trademark infringement and unfair competition claims and rejected Costa’s motions for summary judgment, according to an opinion filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
