Careismatic Brands Didn’t Infringe Workwear Patents, Suit Says

Careismatic Brands LLC filed a preemptive lawsuit against Workwear Outfitters LLC alleging it threatened the medical apparel company with litigation over patents for shirts that enhance mobility.

Workwear contacted Careismatic, a subsidary of Partners Group Holdings AG, in July alleging a women’s zip front scrub jacket infringed US Patent Nos. 10,085,490 and 11,051,559, according to Careismatic’s complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. The notice said Workwear is prepared to enforce its patents if Careismatic doesn’t stop manufacturing and selling the product, Careismatic wrote.
