CareDx Patents on Organ-Transplant Tests Canceled by Judge

A federal judge invalidated three patents that CareDx licenses from Stanford University related to organ-transplant rejection tests, a blow to CareDx’s infringement lawsuits against Natera and Eurofins Scientific.

  • CareDX told the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that “recited techniques are conventional,” so it “cannot now avoid consequences that flow from its representation,” U.S. District Judge Colm Connolly wrote in opinion issued Tuesday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware
