Optical imaging Canon Inc. is suing a Taiwan-based printing toner manufacturer it alleges is selling knock-offs of its copier toner-supply containers.
Canon, which filed a patent infringement suit on Monday, is claiming that General Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd. and its Minnesota subsidiary Katun Corp. are importing unauthorized toner supply containers for Cannon copying machines into the US and selling them.
