A medical inventor sued Candela Corp. for allegedly stealing parts of his patented laser skin treatment device and using them for its own laser treatment devices.
Dr. Nikolai Tankovich claims that the Candela Frax Pro and Nordlys laser skin treatment devices infringe his patent, U.S. Patent No. 10,675,481, which covers a laser system for multiple beam tissue therapy, according to a lawsuit filed Nov. 4 in the District of Delaware.
Tankovich said in the complaint that Candela originally expressed interest in his device in 2018 and he entered into two mutual non-disclosure agreements with the medical laser treatment company. ...
