Caltech Seeks to End Apple, Broadcom Suit Over Error Code Tech

The California Institute of Technology asked a federal court to dismiss its suit alleging Apple Inc. and Broadcom Ltd. sold Wi-Fi products with error-correction technology that infringed several of its patents.

The university, Apple, Broadcom, and Broadcom’s Avago Technologies Ltd. subsidiary agreed to end allegations and counterclaims against each other, according to a stipulation and request for dismissal with prejudice filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.

Caltech, Broadcom and Apple didn’t immediately respond to Bloomberg Law’s request for comment.
