Cala Health Inc. was hit with a federal lawsuit alleging its wrist-worn devices that send small electric pulses through the skin to quell a nerve disorder’s shaky hand movements infringe two EMKinetics Inc. patents for the technology.
San Francisco-based EMKinetics alleges that Cala’s Trio and kIQ products infringe US Patent Nos. 10,786,669 and 11,628,300, which relate to transdermal stimulation devices and methods, according to a complaint filed Feb. 23 in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
