The Patent Trial and Appeal Board determined that challenged claims of Throughtek Co. Ltd.'s patent titled “Information Concentrating Center Capable of Making P2P Connections with Remote Client Devices,” are unpatentable as obvious over prior art, in an inter partes review by Reolink Innovation Inc. and Shenzhen Reolink Technology Co. Ltd. The board held that the challenged claims are obvious over varoius combinations of prior art, including an instruction manual for guiding users of the Lorex LH150 EC04 series security camera systems, that describes establishing a peer-to-peer connection between network devices or nodes using Transmission Control Protocol or User Datagram Protocol ...
