The maker of Mastercam, one of the oldest computer aided design software programs, sued a manufacturing company in Texas federal court for allegedly using pirated copies of its flagship product.
CNC Software LLC said in its complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas Monday that Accuturn Manufacturing Inc. illegally accessed the Mastercam software 378 times.
At least one computer owned or controlled by Accuturn was running an unauthorized version of Mastercam between March 2020 and October 2021, the complaint said.
