BMW, Mercedes, Volvo Denied Quick Win in Software Patent Suit

BMW of North America LLC, Mercedes-Benz USA LLC, and Volvo Car North America LLC couldn’t convince a Delaware district court they were entitled to a quick exit from a patent suit over vehicle software technology.

Stragent LLC sued the automakers in April 2020, alleging their vehicles infringed four patents. BMW, Mercedes, and Volvo previously beat a similar suit in Texas after related patents were found invalid.
