Bungie Inc., the maker of the “Destiny” video game franchise, obtained a preliminary injunction against a company that sold cheating software that allegedly infringed Bungie’s copyrights, according to a Washington federal court order.
Judge Thomas S. Zilly found that Bungie was likely to succeed on the merits of its amended copyright claims after arguing that Aimjunkies.com’s software, Destiny 2 Hacks, gives players of the first-person shooter game unfair advantages by copying certain game features such as Extra-Sensory Perception and One Position Kill.
