Video game maker Bungie Inc. advanced the bulk of its claims in a copyright lawsuit against a young player of the first-person shooter game “Destiny 2" who allegedly live-streamed himself using cheating software and avoided cheating bans.
Bungie can proceed with its copyright infringement and Digital Millennium Copyright Act violation claims against the player, a minor who is referred to as “L.L.” in the litigation, US District Judge Richard Jones ruled Tuesday in Washington federal court.
An attorney for L.L. didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
