Video game maker Bungie Inc. filed another lawsuit against a group profiting from cheating software for the first-person shooter game Destiny 2, alleging violations of racketeering, copyright, and anti-hacking laws.
Bungie sued six named and 50 John Doe defendants who created, marketed, sold, and provided customer support for the Ring -1 cheating software, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the Seattle-based US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
The company has been largely successful in its aggressive legal campaign against cheat software developers and users.
