Warner Bros. Demands Millions Over Bugs Bunny Jewelry Knockoffs

A Brazilian jeweler has been using images of Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, and Hello Kitty to sell merchandise online and in a Miami store, a multimillion-dollar lawsuit filed in a Florida federal court alleges.

Warner Brothers Entertainment Inc. and Sanrio Inc. allege in their Dec. 30 complaint that Cracco Jewelry LLC sells copyright- and trademark-infringing merchandise, and included pictures of bracelets, necklaces, and earrings featuring depictions similar to Warner Bros.’ famous cartoon characters and Sanrio’s animated kitten.
