Bryson Tiller Escapes Copyright Suit as High Court Spurns Appeal

Rapper Bryson Tiller cemented his triumph over claims that he copied beat and vocal patters of another song in his platinum-selling track “Exchange.”

The US Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a case brought by Gary Frisby, a music producer known as G-Money. Frisby said the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit refused to have part of his appeal heard on a faulty technicality, where he only filed a notice of appeal in the primary of two consolidated cases.
